Plymouth Baseball and Softball Families,

 

The Plymouth Youth Athletic Association (PYAA) Board hopes that you and your families are staying safe through this challenging time we are all facing.  We wish nothing but health and happiness for you all. 

​

As a baseball and softball community board we have been monitoring the COVID 19 pandemic and the Wisconsin Safer at Home Order.  We have been patiently waiting for the tide to turn and have the hope of summer youth sports returning in the next few weeks.  We are postponing the season as long as we can prior to making any final decisions on the 2020 season.

Our goal is to develop youth baseball and softball players in the community.  To develop these young ball players, we must:

​

1. Create a safe environment for all players and families

2. Have state and community approval to use the fields

3. Have state and community approval to bring larger groups together

4. Prepare the facilities and make them ready to play baseball/softball

5. Seek community volunteers to support all baseball and softball activities

 

These are mandatory needs to have a 2020 summer program.  Safety is our priority.

As we all wait for the future, we would encourage you and your family to work on some baseball/softball skills.  This is a great opportunity to play catch, hit off a tee, field grounders and pop-ups, and work on the fundamentals of the game.  There are some great baseball/softball drills on the internet and our website here: https://www.plymouthyouthbaseball.com/training-videos to help young players develop the right mechanics for the game.
