ALL DIVISIONS
-
NO CLUB TEAMS
-
Coaches must submit a roster to the Tournament Coordinator prior to the beginning of the tournament. Birth certificates may be needed if age concerns arise.
-
No "new" inning will start after 1 hour 45 minutes has elapsed. The time will be recorded as soon as the 3rd out of an inning has occurred. EXAMPLE: If the 3rd out in the bottom of the 5th inning is recorded after 1 hour 44 minutes of play, the 6th inning will be played. **NOTE** If a team is found guilty, by the Tournament Marshall, of intentionally delaying the game to avoid a 3rd out, the next inning will be played.
-
There will be NO time limit 10 run rule unless both coaches agree.
-
A (10) run rule will apply, at all age brackets, after (5) innings, (4 1/2) innings if the home team is ahead by (10) or more runs. The game will end at that time.
-
A (10) run rule will apply in the Championship game as long as both coaches agree on ending the game after (5) innings of play or (4 1/2) for the home team.
-
If a game ends in a "tie", a CALIFORNIA TIE-BREAKER will be used to determine the winner.

Explanation: The first extra inning will begin with the "away" team placing the runner who made the last out of the last inning played on 2nd base. The inning will begin with (1) out. If one or more runs are scored, the "home" team will always get their last raps. The game continues until we have a winner. **NOTE** Last year was the first year we used this format with (3) games applying. Players and coaches and fans were delighted!!!

-
A courtesy runner should be used for the catcher whenever there are (2) outs. The only other case in which a courtesy runner may be used, is for a "temporary injury." A courtesy runner must first come from a "sub" or player who has not been in the game. If all players have been in the game, then the player making the last out will be used.
-
The re-entry rule will be used. Any "starting player" may re-enter the game once, but "must" return to his same spot in the batting order. Once a "non-starter" comes out of the game, he may not return to the game at a later time.
-
Teams must have their line-ups ready 1/2 hour prior to the start of the game.
-
POOL PLAY TIE-BREAKERS will be determined in the following order....

1st - Record (wins and losses)
2nd - Head to Head Play
3rd - Largest run differential. Runs scored vs. runs allowed. **NOTE** a max of (10) runs per game will be awarded. This keeps teams from running up a score.
4th - Least runs allowed
5th - Coin Flip
-
In the event of a (12) team age bracket, the above format will be used to determine the (1) wild card team.
-
In the event of a "total wash-out weekend" due to rain, $150 will be refunded.
-
All tournament decisions will be made by the Tournament Directors and will be made in the interest of the players and families participating.
-
Parents of the participants will assume ALL liability. P.Y.A.A. will not be responsible for injury, lost and/or stolen materials. Participants will assume all risks for participation.
-
